Context

Why it matters

Most conversion problems are arithmetic, not psychology. A form with nine fields converts worse than one with four, reliably, across industries. A required phone number costs you leads from people who'd have given an email. A CTA below the fold on mobile is a CTA most visitors never see. This audit measures the countable things first and ranks them by weight, because that's where the recoverable losses usually are. It also checks whether conversion tracking exists at all, which sounds trivial and frequently isn't, a meaningful share of sites we audit are running paid traffic with no conversion event configured, optimising against nothing.

Methodology

Methodology

01

Paste any public URL

We fetch the page the way a browser and crawler would, no login walls, no probing.

02

Collect signals once

HTML, headers, robots/sitemap, and optional Lighthouse lab data feed every tool from one pass.

03

Score with published weights

Each check has a fixed weight that sums to 100. N/A checks leave the denominator so empty pages aren’t unfairly punished.

FAQs

Free Conversion Rate Audit FAQs

How is this different from the Landing Page Audit?

Landing Page Audit weights message and design. This weights funnel mechanics, tracking and speed-to-conversion.

Will fixing everything double my conversion rate?

No tool can promise that. It removes known friction; how much you recover depends on your traffic quality and offer.

Why does a required phone field get flagged?

It reliably reduces form completion. Make it optional and you generally get more leads, some of whom volunteer a number anyway.

Does it check my actual conversion rate?

No, it has no access to your analytics. It audits the page factors that influence it.

Why check for analytics tags?

Because you can't improve what you don't measure, and a surprising number of sites run ads without a conversion event configured.

Does it work on ecommerce product pages?

Yes, though ecommerce has its own patterns, cart and checkout flows need a dedicated review.
